Wes Emory was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He lived in Dallas, Texas for five years before moving back to Charleston, South Carolina. Wes is a History Major at Lander University and follows the political scene closely. He is the Founder and Lead Writer of the Collegiate Conservative.
The Collegiate Conservative is a nonprofit opinion website. Its political stance is Conservative. The Collegiate Conservative was founded in late January 2016. The Conservative believes that the Constitution is the ultimate authority in Government. Ronald Reagan once said that “Freedom is the right to question and change the established way of doing things.” By having an opinion based on facts and the Constitution, the Collegiate Conservative hopes to be a foundation of Conservative movement.
The Collegiate Conservative is protected by Amendment I of the United States Constitution, ratified on December 15, 1791, which states:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
